As China Electric Power News reported, Huangzhou municipal government of Zhejiang Province put forward the overall development plan of urban construction during “11th Five-Year Plan”, orienting Huangzhou as tourist city. As a result, Huangzhou municipal government has implemented “upper to lower modification” comprehensive treatment project to change a variety of overhead high voltage lines into underground cables or optical cables since 2002. It is a project that municipal government develops for the people’s interests. Apart from developed cities, some developing cities inland take the same measure on urban construction. In Nanchang, the capital of Jiangxi Province, provincial government especially made the policies and drafted the rules concerned to encourage overhead high voltage lines underground.
In addition, on the occasion of renovation of electric power grid nationwide, State Grid stresses the social responsibility of electric enterprises and calls for the affiliated electric power enterprises in provinces and cities to initiatively assist the local government to change overhead high voltage lines into underground cables or optical cables by seizing the opportunity of urban environment improvement so as to facilitate the renovation of the electric power grid throughout the country. |
